Bugs are a huge part of life in Central Florida and we are always looking for ways to win the war against them. This is a winner!
We have 2 indoor cats that are allowed outside. On pretty days we like to leave the door open so they can go in and out as they please. (Which is often, trust me!) The only drawback was the insects that took that open door as an invitation and were constantly invading our space! I swear for every fly I swatted, 3 more appeared! It was a never ending battle and the bugs were winning….not anymore! Every since we installed this amazing screen door from I Got Tech we have hardly seen an insect inside. Sure there are still a few that magically sneak in when we are going in and out through another door but they are few and far between now. This screen is fantastic and it has plenty of magnets so it closes very quickly and very tightly! Installation was super easy. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes and it was a breeze to put up.
The finished product looks great and works even better! The cats took a little bit of time to get used to it but within a few minutes they had it figured out. One of them will just run through it as fast as he can and the other uses his paw to open it and then just walks through. It was actually sort of cute to watch them figure it out and they love it now. I’m sure it’s nice for them to be able to come and go as they please now instead of having to get our attention and let them out. The only issue we had was that our doors are painted metal not wood, so when coming back inside the magnets on the screen tend to stick to the door itself instead of joining together. No big deal though as long as we watch for it. It only take a simple push to get it right back where it needs to be. I am now planning on getting one for the front door too. I think it would be nice to have one in front and one in back so we could really get some air flow. Now that bugs are not an issue that is.
